www.hardknock.tv Hard Knock TV’s Behind the Scenes Exclusive preview of Ya Boy (YB) and Akon’s new music video for Lock Down. Akon tells Nick Huff Barili that you can expect his long awaited album to finally come out in September, that it’s called Stadium and that you can expect a much bigger sound from him, which is influence by everywhere he has been in the last couple years. Akon also goes in on the crosspollination between dance music and hip hop, which seem to be dominating the radio charts these days. Konvict has quite the eclectic roster that includes Lady Gaga, T-Pain, Ya Boy, Sway, Colby O’Donis, Jeffree Star, Kardinal Officiall among others. When asked if he ever thought about having a posses cut with everyone he said yes and that he could see even an album with everyone but that he wants to wait until everyone has a chance to make a name for themselves first. Ya Boy (aka YB the Rock Star), who’s influences include Eminem, Jay-Z, Tupac, E-40, Jadakiss, Master P, and Cash Money, talks about what the road has been like from his first track 16 Bars (google if you haven’t heard it) till now, including the move from the Bay to LA and going from working the streets to performing at Paris Hilton’s house. His new album Music Lives is almost done and you can expect him to not only rep the Bay but the whole West Coast, like he did with the smash We Run La, which he says pays homage to LA like Tupac’s to Live and Die in LA. If that wasn’t enough, video vixen Charm Killings …

Johnson I’m checking out your Facebook I drive past where you work You tell me you’re my girlfriend But are you even on planet earth? I see you out with your friends but Yo who the hell is that dude? You’re not playing with me are you girl? Well hell, I wouldn’t put it past you I hate that you just won’t text me You say you’re out with Becky Why you dress so sexy I check my text every five seconds obsessing That you’re in another dude’s bedroom undressing. He’s got you pressed on your back It’s a wrestling match Well anything he’s good at I’m the best at that My heart was broken I was hoping it would be left in tact So please let’s just chat Just text me back! I wasn’t crazy I wasn’t crazy I wasn’t crazy Until I met you Crazy I wasn’t crazy Until I met you I refresh your Facebook Analyze all your wall posts Why’d you leave a smiley face on that one dude’s page Or whatever you call those The fact that you flirt with That dirty rat that you work with I feel the love boat sinking I’m trying to bring it back to the surface Why do you keep pictures of your ex around? You think he’s better than me? Why you letting me drown? In my own imagination That I face when I’m alone I’m going to wait until you sleep And then I’m going through your phone ‘Cause I don’t believe you when you tell me He’s only a friend I’m not possessive, I’m depressed You …

You too can donate your radiator and spread some warmth! www.africafornorway.com Twitter bit.ly On Spotify spoti.fi and iTunes bit.ly Imagine if every person in Africa saw the “Africa for Norway” video and this was the only information they ever got about Norway. What would they think about Norway? If we say Africa, what do you think about? Hunger, poverty, crime or AIDS? No wonder, because in fundraising campaigns and media that’s mainly what you hear about. The pictures we usually see in fundraisers are of poor African children. Hunger and poverty is ugly, and it calls for action. But while these images can engage people in the short term, we are concerned that many people simply give up because it seems like nothing is getting better. Africa should not just be something that people either give to, or give up on. The truth is that there are many positive developments in African countries, and we want these to become known. We need to change the simplistic explanations of problems in Africa. We need to educate ourselves on the complex issues and get more focus on how western countries have a negative impact on Africa’s development. If we want to address the problems the world is facing we need to do it based on knowledge and respect. The video is made by The Norwegian Students’ and Academics’ International Assistance Fund (www.saih.no). With the cooperation of Operation Day’s Work (www.od.no). With funding from The Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (Norad) and …

Long distance relationships are tough. **NOTE** Jupiter is the name of the alien girl, NOT the name of the planet she lives on. DOWNLOAD THE SONG HERE: bit.ly OUR FACEBOOK: www.facebook.com ******LYRICS****** There’s nothing left to say. I’m not with you. You lie so far away from the truth. Jupiter you’re on my mind. The clock will turn the gears of time. I only want to be with you. Symmetry can lean askew. It’s gripping on my mind. I’ll stay impossible to define while you’re away. There’s still nothing to say. I’m not with you. Sometimes the path least traveled is the avenue. The stranger in your life you thought you knew. How can I be yellow and still so blue? Jupiter you’re on my mind. The clock will turn the gears of time. I only want to be with you. Symmetry can lean askew. It’s gripping on my mind. I’ll stay impossible to define while you’re away. Jupiter you’re on my mind. The clock will turn the gears of time. I only want to be with you. Symmetry can lean askew.

“Like a Prayer” is a song by American singer-songwriter Madonna from her fourth studio album of the same name (1989). Sire Records released it as the album’s lead single on March 21, 1989. Written and produced by Madonna and Patrick Leonard, “Like a Prayer” denoted a more artistic and personal approach to songwriting for Madonna, who believed that she needed to cater more to her adult audience. The song is about a passionate young girl in love with God, who becomes the only male figure in her life. “Like a Prayer” is a pop rock song that incorporates elements of gospel music. A choir provides background vocals that heighten the song’s spiritual nature, while rock guitar sounds keep the music dark and mysterious. Madonna introduced liturgical words in the lyrics—which were inspired by her Catholic upbringing—but changed the context in which they were used. Thus, they had dual meanings of sexual innuendo and religion. “Like a Prayer” was positively received by critics, and was a commercial success. It became Madonna’s seventh number-one single on the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States, and reached the top of the singles charts in Australia, Canada, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Sweden and the United Kingdom. The single is also memorable for its accompanying music video, which Mary Lambert directed. It features Madonna as a witness to a murder, as she hides in a church for safety. The clip also portrays Catholic symbols such as stigmata and burning crosses, and a dream about …
