There’s no religion that could save me No matter how long my knees are on the floor (Ooh) So keep in mind all the sacrifices I’m makin’ To keep you by my side To keep you from walkin’ out the door. ‘Cause there’ll be no sunlight If I lose you, baby There’ll be no clear skies If I lose you, baby Just like the clouds My eyes will do the same, if you walk away Everyday it’ll rain, rain, ra-aa-ain I’ll never be your mother’s favorite Your daddy can’t even look me in the eye Ooh, if I was in their shoes, I’d be doing the same thing Sayin’ “There goes my little girl Walkin’ with that troublesome guy” But they’re just afraid of something they can’t understand Ooh, but little darlin’ watch me change their minds Yeah for you I’ll try I’ll try I’ll try I’ll try I’ll pick up these broken pieces ’til I’m bleeding If that’ll make you mine ‘Cause there’ll be no sunlight If I lose you, baby There’ll be no clear skies If I lose you, baby Just like the clouds My eyes will do the same, if you walk away Everyday …

Liefling die Movie ‘n Musiekfliek vir die hele gesin, met 24 Afrikaanse liedjies. Starts Friday 19th November at Nu Metro Cinemas: numet.ro Featuring an all-star cast and a soundtrack that includes the most well-known afrikaans songs from the 70s to today, this is a love story in the tradition of recent spectacular cinematic musicals. Taking its name from tenor Gé Korsten’s timeless and hugely popular song, ‘Liefling’ (sweetheart), the film tells the story of Liefling Marais, an adventure-loving young girl with a passion for life. She lives on a farm in Hartbeespoort with her father, Simon, mother, Linda, grandfather, Karel, brother, Kobus and housekeeper, Katy. Simon is a professor at the university and in his class are three friends, Jan, Pieter and Gert, who also live on the outskirts of the city in Hartbeespoort. It’s the December holidays and Jan, a civil engineering student raised by his grandmother, has his eye on Liefling, although spoilt little rich girl Melanie has other plans up her sleeves. Fate intervenes and brings lovers, friends and enemies together in a sumptuous musical celebration that will have audiences laughing, crying and singing along. Live recording of 90th Birthday song for Nelson Mandela in the Jacaranda 94.2 music radio station studios in Midrand, South Africa. What made the shoot challenging and quite a feat, is the fact that four of South Africa’s top solo artists agreed (at 24 hours’ notice) to come to the studio and record a song they had never rehearsed or heard before. The song was hastily written by the Jacaranda 94.2 breakfast production team, including Dean Konidaris, who is featured on this footage recording the song. It happened in a single evening session for Kurt Darren, Tasha Baxter and Craig Hinds. Danny K laid down his voice tracks the next morning at 5:30am! Tasha recorded no less than 6 different voice tracks to add depth to the song. Watershed lead singer Craig Hinds faced the biggest challenge, as the song stretched his vocal capacity both at the top and the bottom of his range. But we got through it and the final mix of the song was played live on Just Plain Breakfast with Darren Scott, less than two hours after Danny K finished his part of the recording. The video had to be produced with the same haste (approx 2 hours for edit, final mix, conversion and upload) and in very cramped production studio conditions. It was a one-woman shoot from start to finish and soundtrack synch without timecode proved to be a horror. Despite this it was a fabulous collaboration which made it in time for the morning of Nelson Mandelas 90th Birthday on 18 July 2008. The video was uploaded to the …

LMFAO One Day — Behind The Scenes music video with Tuborg — See behind the scenes as LMFAO’s film their Tuborg One Day video. The Tuborg’s ‘Liquid Soundtrack’ search for the director of LMFAO’s next music video was exhausting, comprising of thousands of entries. And as platinum selling artists in their own right, LMFAO were determined to find the best of the best to direct ‘One Day’. Both Tuborg and LMFAO found common ground with co-director Josh Wroe, a director who impressed both parties with his creativity. After being whisked away to meet LMFAO in Las Vegas, Wroe partied with the Hiltons, Benny Bennasi and Will.I.Am; as well as recording in venues and clubs around the Strip. For once, what happened in Vegas didn’t actually stay in Vegas. Instead, it was recorded for you all to see. See all the finalist entries at www.facebook.com
